Chasing Rabbits is a dog friendly, child friendly, work friendly and generally people friendly independent coffee house that serves really, really, great coffee!
Split across two floors, downstairs is more family focused with lots of space to move around and includes a buggy park and baby change bathroom as well as ‘Mac’s wall’, a board dedicated to some of our favourite doggy visitors.
The upstairs area is a great space to work and we also have a large retractable cinema screen which can be used for pre-arranged movies and private functions and pop-ups.

OUR STORY
We are Matt, Laura, Ella and Mac, owners of Chasing Rabbits Coffee House and lovers of all things coffee (well, Matt and Laura are anyway). In 2019 we made the move to Hove from London where Matt and his brother ran The Black Lab Coffee House in Clapham Common, named one of the top 10 best coffee shops in the city by The London Coffee Guide.
Before that, we spent time working in Italy, Canada, New Zealand and Australia where we fell in love with the café culture and everything that came with it and became obsessed with learning all we could about what makes great coffee from some of the world class, champion barista’s that we met along the way.
From selecting the beans, the equipment, latte art and creating a great interior feel, Chasing Rabbits is our love letter to that café culture, and we hope you you’ll enjoy being here as much as we do.
OUR COFFEE
It all starts with selecting the right coffee beans and we take great pleasure in sourcing and selecting the very best: We have a house roast and a decaf usually sourced from local roasters which we will rotate seasonally.
We serve espresso made using our beautiful San Remo 3 group racer and a range of filter coffees, rotated weekly from Micro Roasters all over the country, made on our Brew Bar, with our SP9 Twin Coffee Brewers and Fetco Batch Brewer.
And, for our friends that may not be as coffee crazy as us, we take the same care in selecting amazing, tea, hot chocolate, and cold drinks as well as delicious cakes and pastries made locally at some of Brighton and Hove’s incredible bakeries and patisseries.
